Silver Salmon Grille: Exceptional Cajun Seafood and Dining in Astoria

Best clam chowder I've ever had! Looking forward to the next time I am in Astoria. Also, I enjoyed the fact, friendly service. It was crowded at lunch time - to be expected with such great food. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the ambiance.

As a bartender who appreciates the fine art of hosting, it is an absolute honor to experience Joseph. I hope his life is nothing but abundance. The northern star of my trip.

Classic food, with classic service, in a classic setting. This place is everything I hoped it would be. Our server had been working there for over 20 years. She shared a wonderful story about the restaurant's history and had deep familiarity with everything on the menu. My fiancée and I came here for lunch. We enjoyed a local riesling and ordered shrimp cocktail, clam chowder, and oyster stew (the daily special). We would give all three of those dishes a near-perfect score. We cannot wait to eat here again. If you want classic seafood in Astoria, I strongly recommend Silver Salmon.

This restaurant is a bright light in Astoria Oregon. Stopped in on recommendation of two other local businesses in town. Service is beyond impeccable, establishment is clean, spacious and relaxing. Had an order of the appetizer smoked salmon sliders. Never had such smooth, light and delicious smoked salmon in my life! Like butter. Can't wait to return for full entree and hopefully dessert.

A fantastic place to get extraordinary seafood in the Astoria area. They have solid clam chowder that I will happily endorse several times over. I highly, highly recommend their cheese bread. It is baked so well and yeah the taste is just to die for. Two pieces are not enough and I would recommend getting three. Their steak end bits appetizer is also very good and their desserts are unique and worth every penny Prices are not too bad, service is friendly, and the restaurant has nice ambiance and decor that illustrates historical Astoria.

We came into enjoy their happy hour as a party of 2 on Saturday at 5:30. We were seated right away, and I started with a classic margarita, which was nice-they make great drinks and the bar was chill! We ordered 4 items on the happy hour menu: Caesar salad: their dressing on the Caesar salad was very good, and complimented all of our food choices. Smoked salmon sliders: these were amazing-the salmon was fresh and we loved the bread it came on. The chili aioli these came on made these delectable. This was the most unique item on their happy hour menu and we loved it. Calamari Fritti-we are always up for a calamari! These were great. Clam chowder-this was my favorite thing we ordered. This chowder was a hit, and I didn't want to share. They claim this is an award winning chowder on their menu, and it is easy to see why. Their food and service here is solid. We left feeling refreshed and not too full. We love their bar, and they blew us away with their happy hour. We would love to come back and do a more formal dinner next time.

The silver salmon grille was such a great experience! My wife and I went for her 40th bday for our very first time and we had a blast! The food was amazing! Great choices for seafood for sure! Service was prompt and very friendly. I'd recommend making reservations though for sure. Definitely going back next time I'm in Astoria.

Theatre plans after dinner a block away, so this downtown location is ideal. Dining ambiance is old school with the dimly lit, picture lined narrow room, stamped tin ceilings and the feel of a different era, a time when the building was young. My Manhattan and her Margarita were prepared perfect, you might even say over the top. I enjoyed the generous portion of blackened salmon that was well seasoned without being overwhelming. My wife's halibut fish & chips were perfect and the serving adequate when paired with the clam chowder. Friendly attentive service, delicious food and reasonable pricing makes Silver Salmon a new option when we are out on the town.
